Just finished up with a demo here at the Barcelona supercross in Spain, and as usual the fans in Spain were crazy! The demo went really well and actually was a bit of contest with the scores being judged off crowd applause. I ended up winning which really surprised me! I was competing against Dany Torres, Edgar Torrentares, Sidney DeAndres(Spain), Charly Pages (France), Beau Bamburg(USA), and a few others as well. I definitely didn't expect to win with the Spanish riders there, but it got quite wooped out and choppy before the jump and it caused a few riders to mess up. Charly Pages crashed pretty hard, but was ok to keep riding. I just focused on doing my best to stay smooth and it worked! The crowds in Spain are crazy! They're so loud and amped the entire time! the freestyle demo didn't take place until the races were over and no one left, the stadium was still packed when we finished! I highly doubt that would ever happen in the States, unless Pastrana decides to do a triple flip at Anaheim 1. Needless to say, the crowds are what make me want to keep coming back. It’s tough to explain it to someone who has only seen an FMX comp in the States. Rowdy, is all I can say. Well, I'm off to Belgium tonight for another contest/demo. Check back next week and ill fill ya in on the haps. Thanks for peepin the site! Peace.
